One of the easier Artifex Mundi games, but it looks pretty, has voice acting and is still a fun game to boot. Some of the items you had to look for in the scenes were a bit archaic, but most were easy to find. The puzzles/minigames had a nice variety to them, though none were terribly difficult, and the story was passable. It was fun for a play through like every one of this companies games have been. It's also easy to pick up and play for a half hour and then leave or just let run in the background, which is why my playtime is a bit higher than others. All in all, definitely worth playing through if you're a fan of the other Artifex Mundi games.. Queen's Quest is a hidden object casual point and click game. It's published by Artifex Mundi, but developed by Brave Giant. It's significantly worse than games developed by Artifex Mundi themselves.Graphics is somewhat worse. Music is boring, less pleasant than in Artifex Mundi titles. Voice acting is low quality. Plot and story has never been a strong part of hidden object games, so usually it's average at best. Here it's definitely below average. Story is naive and boring.It isn't the worst hidden object game there is, but with so many good games on market consider this only if you run out of all other games ;-)OVERALL SCORE: 4/10P.S. You have to almost bribe your chambermaid to receive a part crucial to reviving your husband. Terrible employee, so it seems.. This is another game in Steam where I wish there was a neutral option in their rating system. In "Queen's Quest: Tower of Darkness" an evil wizard steals your baby and it's up to you to rescue it. The game play is solid, but the story is boring. It's not a bad game, just dull. If you're looking for an engaging HOG game, I'd recommend looking at a different title in the Artifex Mundi library first.. Very fun game. Good graphics - not a lot of interaction with other characters but lots of find and seek, Bonus chapter was a bit short but all over i can recommend this game with a smile. By all means, if you enjoy hidden object games, play this one. Artifex Mundi makes pretty decent ones in general. But this is one of their least inventive, and it's not one they themselves developed, only published. It's short and simple and not very compelling, but it hits many of the notes similar to the rest of their games. I completed the game, bonus game, and all of the achievements in under 4 hours. 5/10 from me.. I give this a light recommend for those who are fans of hidden object puzzle games, but don't look here for decent story.The gameplay mechanics are pretty simple to use. However, there are a couple of puzzles that you're supposedly able to get clues for that you end up having to guess, and that's annoying. This is a function of the storyline too, but often the logic behind things doesn't make sense or is ridiculous, even for a game of this genre. I always appreciate when they at least try to throw in a reason why you have to take a convoluted approach. This is particularly where I feel it shows Artifex Mundi wasn't primary developer. In the bonus adventure, this is even worse.The storyline is very weak. The queen's subjects are hugely unhelpful, and the queen never seems particularly mad that her husband lied to her or promised their child to an evil wizard. I do like that there are achievements for the collectibles, and I did like the talking piggy bank characters, but that's about it. Not one of the games I'll go back to for my "comfort gaming".. Short but fun. A typical story. 24 puzzles in varying difficulty. Nice looking HOs. No achievements for the bonus chapter and it is super short, but it ties up the loose ends of the story.
